"Myself and my wife, Rosa, the restaurant's namesake, are the Islands' longest serving restauranteurs, since 1982.
Both trained in London, we have been fortunate enough to have either cooked or served extensively for royalty and celebrities, holding senior posts in the capital's prestigious hotels along Park Lane.
In 1982, we fell in love with the Isle of Man, and opened our first restaurant 'La Rosette' in Ballasalla village, near the airport. Success followed, along with food guide stars - and the accompanying stress.
In 1996 we opened Cafe Rosa in the countryside, swearing by our unusual 3-day-a-week model, less stress, a better lifestyle.

Our fish is bought from our long-standing local supplier, who provides both sustainably sourced fish & the finest Isle of Man catch whenever available.

Our Manx butcher supplies the tenderest matured steaks, local lamb and sirloin. A joy to prepare & a pleasure to savour.
Cheese & Dairy - Bainney
Award-winning Isle of Man Cheeses, cream & milk are used throughout our menu. Distinctively creamy, most highly recommended.
Farmer's Produce - Troar
Farmer Teare's potatoes make the finest chips and roasties. We also buy organic/local vegetables when we can, as can you.

Once more, Chef Robert serves more flavours of the month. The Specials Board will usually feature at least one select local item, and as usual, our meat produce has been carefully sourced - its delicious Beef.
